Do you love Frida Kahlo as much as I do? I hope so because I’m sharing some of her most passionate love quotes!

Frida was one of Mexico’s most important artists and one of its brightest stars.
However, she was also deeply hurt by heartbreak and unimaginable physical pain. Crippled by polio, crushed by a traffic accident, and repeatedly betrayed by the love of her life, it’s clear that pain and suffering were two of the main themes in her life.
But love was another of Frida’s great themes. She loved the man of her life, painter Diego Rivera, passionately and intensely. Even though Frida and Diego’s life together was stormy, her love for him never ceased.
And these quotes reflect the passion and fire that burned in Frida’s heart and are reflected in her art.
“If I could give you one thing in life, it would be the ability to see yourself through my eyes. Only then would you realize how special you are to me.” This is the perfect quote to share with my wife on Valentine’s Day. Hope you enjoy yours!

Awesome Valentines Day post! Can’t wait to see La Casa Azul this summer. My Grandpa studied briefly with Diego Rivera back in the 1940s.

Your grandpa with Diego Rivera. That’s awesome!!! La Casa Azul has become a little too touristy, but it’s still something worth seeing.

I love how unapologetically difficult Frida was, at a time when women were supposed to function. She defies historians’ interpretation, but one thing is for certain: she always loved fiercly. Happy V Day!

She was decades ahead of her time. I think she would be deemed controversial even today. Thanks for commenting! 🙂

I know. It’s hard to believe she died in 1954! She should’ve been around longer.

I love Frida quotes. Actually, I love Frida anything 🙂 She is such an inspiration to women and especially Latina women. There is an exhibit of her work at the Dali Museum in St. Petersburg, Florida that I am planning to attend. Can’t wait to see her works up close!
